This facility's walruses, received in the summer of 1932, were part of a group of three; one individual passed away while in transit.

The Nürnberg Zoo was located in Dutzendteich at the time of their walrus exhibition. This location was permanently closed in February of 1939, followed by the reopening of the current location in May of the same year.
