The walruses from this import were born in 1995; I cannot be certain as to whether they were collected that year or the following year, although for one walrus the 2004 studbook lists a collection date of July 15th, 1995, as well as collection dates in 1995 for two others. I therefore cautiously make the assumption that this information is accurate, and that the entire herd of five were all collected in 1995.
This group of walruses arrived at the Parken Zoo "just over a week" prior to May 11th.
