I believe, and make the assumption on this profile, that Wangzi is one of the two pups imported by Shenzhen Xiaomeisha Sea World in 2011, although I have no direct evidence of this other than his presence at the park and his age. Otherwise, the earliest I have seen him mentioned by name at this facility was in 2015.
This animal's name means "Prince".
