I do not know at this time the exact date this facility received its first walruses; the earliest confirmation I have of Shanghai housing the species is a video of adult female Feier uploaded on February 6th, 2019 (see her profile for more information).

At this time (March 2019) Shanghai does not have a dedicated walrus exhibit; their walruses can only be viewed during scheduled performances at the Sea Lion Theater.
