Kish Dolphin Park made the decision to import two 2-year-old bull walruses from Russia "around the end of 1378", or early 2000.

Following a prolonged battle against severe pulpitis, Pitachook died within half an hour of undergoing a tusk removal procedure; his death was caused by "a mistake in the anesthetic dose".
