Notes and Information

Katinka was estimated to have been born in July of 1974.

Sources vary regarding the circumstances around this animal's death; former Dolfinarium trainer Henk Merjenburgh claimed in May of 2021 that Katinka had died following an altercation instigated by herdmate Natasja which resulted in Katinka's ribs piercing her lungs, while park manager Alex Tiebot, though not involved with the park at the time of the incident, has stated that the animal's autopsy report describes the animal as simply being unhealthy prior to her decease.
