Inconsistencies exist for this animal's date of birth (various sources stating May 1968, July 7th 1978, and ~1980), as well as her paternity (her sire being either Farouk or Woofy II). The 2018 studbook lists her sire as #75, a bull from the 1968 group of imports to Marineland -- this is consistent with a news article citing her sire as Woofy II, but inconsistent with a study citing her sire as Farouk.

Andrea may have been living at SeaWorld Orlando prior to her transfer to Point Defiance in 1992. The 2018 walrus studbook lists an unknown estimated transfer date of May 1st, 1987 from Marineland to Orlando.
